Welcome to The Palms of Destin Resort, where "The Lookout" has the perfect view for you!!! This 9th floor unit provides the perfect getaway with all of the amenities you need. The pool is just a short elevator ride away, making it easy to go back and forth to your room without having to walk far to the elevator. You can let your kids hang out at the pool while you lounge on your private balcony overlooking the pool. This resort has a lot to offer: you’ll find the restaurant "The Palms Bistro" in the main area, a coffeehouse, a bar, a gym, a hot tub, a big lagoon-style pool (not heated) with plenty of room to wade around with your friends, and a smaller heated pool. The common area patio allows you to hang out and meet other guests from all around the country and across the globe. Just inside, there are plenty of TV’s and a bar to enjoy the sport of your choosing. The kiddy pool is a lot of fun for the little ones and helps you to wear them out before you put them down for the night. If you wish to spend your time on the beach, you can catch the resort shuttle straight to beach access where you can enjoy the blue waters and white powdery sands of Destin. Your entire vacation can be spent within the resort with plenty to do, or you can venture out into Destin, which has even more to offer. In this junior suite, you are centrally located between all of the nightlife, restaurants, and entertainment in Destin. The Track in Destin is just a short walk away where you can enjoy 2 putt-putt golf courses, go karts, rides, and more. Just across the street there is a sports complex if you want to play catch or hit the ball around. Further down the road you’ll find The Big Kahuna water park with water slides and a river float. If you are feeling adventurous you can visit any of the many boat rental shops and take a trip out to Crab Island. During the summer season Crab Island is the place to be! There are a few golf courses in Destin as well, so if you like to hit the links, then you are in the right spot. We all like to eat and there are a lot of options to choose from, whether it is high end at Ruth’s Chris or just a quick bite from Burrito Del Sol. If you just want to get away to relax, then this condo is the perfect place for you. The condo is spacious and is stylish with a great view. This 2 bedroom suite features a master bedroom with a king size bed and full bath. The guest room features a king size bed and a full bathroom just outside of the bedroom. The living area features a full size pull out sofa that accommodates 2 more guests. This unit is a 6 guest max occupancy, so you and your family or 5 of your closest friends can come enjoy the beach life to get away from the daily grind. Access

Finding the Palms is a breeze. You can't missed it from Hwy 98. Simply turn north onto Indian Bayou Trail from Hwy 98 and it will be on your right. Take the right at The Palms of Destin sign and unload at the front. The tower at the entrance to the resort will be where you are staying. All parking is in the garage. Please to not park in designated parking or in restaurant parking. Check-in at the front desk to receive your wristbands, parking pass, and resort codes. Unit entry code will be issued by management.

Interaction With Guests

My interaction is primarily via text, email, and phone. In the event of an emergency I will be there promptly to take care of any critical issues.

Neighborhood

Destin is a safe area as well as the The Palms of Destin. The resort has new state of the art surveillance to ensure the safety of guests, staff, and to protect the property. Cameras are located on each floor and at all entrances around the resort.

Transit

Uber, Lyft, Golf Cart, bicycles, and walking are all options. Use an app for Uber or Lyft. Golf Carts and bicycles may be rented, a search engine is your friend when searching for what fits your needs best. There are a few attractions and stores within walking distance, but it is highly recommended to find vehicle transportation outside of a half mile radius of the resort.

House Rules

- MUST BE 25 years of age. Valid ID will be required to check-in. - A rental agreement will be sent at confirmation, the agreement must be signed at booking confirmation to receive an access code for the unit. - No 3rd Party Booking. - 6 guests maximum (regardless of age), no exceptions. - All adult guests must be listed prior to making a reservation. - A limited amount of expendable items are provided to get you started. - Beach towels/ Bath Towels/ Linens are provided by the unit, not the resort. Please do not take bath towels or linens outside of the unit. - Guest will be responsible for any lost/ damaged/ stolen/ missing items. Please remember to bring the beach towels back to the unit. - Be respectful of all neighbors / property. - Checkout instructions are several steps to ensure there is a smooth transition between guests. They are listed in the rental agreement and in the unit.

Overall, was a good place to stay. Plenty of space and comfortable. It was only two of us but could fit 4 maybe 5 people. Amenities were nice (Balcony, kitchen, TVs). Beach equipment included were helpful though the umbrella seems to be missing the piece to screw it into the sand to secure it. Upon arriving, we were a little disappointed at the cleanliness (peanuts on couch and floor and pile of fingernails found on floor under end table). After we cleaned it up with broom and dustpan we felt better. Water pressure in shower was great. It’s a shame the pool isn’t heated year round because it’s beautiful but it was ice cold so we didn’t use it. Not sure if it’s always like that or because it was offseason. Other small pool is warmer but busy and naturally it was dirtier because of all the traffic. Coffee shop/Restaurant/Bar was nice to have. Overall, nice place. We value pool a lot so probably wouldn’t stay again unless it’s warmer.

Top tier from beginning to end. Very responsive, provided very clear instructions so need to ask questions. Beautiful property, very clean, and it looked just like the photos. I reached out for something that was not an emergency, just wanted to make the property manager aware, he had someone at the property within minutes of my text. I have found my home away from home when I visit Destin.

There are pros and cons to this place. Overall I want to say that this place is needing some tender loving care. The pictures don't completely match. I am assuming these pictures were taken when this place was brand new. For what I paid I don't believe it was worth it. Cons: Pillows look worn, the couch is sinking, and the refrigerator needs a new filter. There is a cushion missing on a chair, the deck needs washing, and there is no rug outdoors as shown in the picture. Also the candles are yucky and don't work. The shower pressure is terrible in the master shower and there is no way to change it. There is a rusty holder for things in the bathroom. One of the washcloths is grey with a stain. The sheets don't stay on the bed and the bed is sunken in, not firm. Some people may like this though. The Big Pool no HEAT! Pros: It's close to the grocery store and Henderson beach which we went to almost every day. It's quiet inside. I heard no noise really and it was spring break time.
